My Career Choice

Going to college for fashion design and merchandising is what I want to do in the future. In the fashion industry career it takes good art skills and math skills for making measurements on a person. This career is of interest of mine because I enjoy making designs as well as being involved in anything that has to do with art.
I would be working in possibly a retail store that has to do with clothing and fashion. Also internships at a fashion place would help me on my road to my occupation and manufacturing firms.

Some duties for this job include:

1. Getting a two or four year degree
2. Learn about textiles, fabrics, and how to make different apparel such as shoes, coats, or clothes and more.
3. Have good communication skills and a sense for trend setting.

I would need to attend a college that deals with some type of art that involves fashion design, or textile making and such. I would also have to have a good portfolio of designs that I plan to make.
